Monroe was our 1st official dog rescued with the help of Labs4Rescue as well as Boston Dog Rescue in Massachusettes. He was a beautiful yellow lab who ended up at the animal shelter and was of course heartworm positive. We pulled him from the shelter and with the help of a rescuer at Boston Dog Rescue, Monroe began his journey to the New England area. After a short drive to Jackson, Monroe caught a flight to his foster home up north. He was treated for heartworms and is now one lucky dog. His name is now Ernie and here is what Carrie with Boston Dog Rescue said about his new family:
His owners ADORE him! They take him everywhere and I do mean everywhere-NYC, Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket. He is their baby. Ernie resides in Boston but spends weekends at his cottage in Vermont. Ernie is a professional snow shoeing dog now, as seen in the pictures. Can I just say, what a spoiled dog!
