Diego

One of our special needs success stories is Diego.  He was fostered by a family in West Monroe for about a month.  The children named him after a character in Dora the Explorer.  We knew Diego was a special boy.  He has a deformed front leg, either from a birth defect or an injury when he was young.  But he doesn’t know anything is wrong with him—as far as he is concerned his bad leg just helps him hold his rawhide a little bit closer!  A local Good Samaritan took care of all of Diego’s vet bills.  We worked with Labs4Rescue and Diego went to his new foster home in Connecticut, where he loved to play with other dogs and swim in the pool.  Diego’s foster mom loved him so much that she didn’t want to spend one day without him so she adopted him into her family. Diego is one lucky boy!
