About Polo:

Polo is a people person dog with a laid back, easy going nature. He loves everyone and never meets a stranger. He has battled many obstacles but continues to overcome them. For that reason, I truly feel he has a purpose here. Whether it be just to make a child smile or to give company to the elderly; he just loves to "Visit". Polo lights up when he sees me get out his therapy vest. There is no doubt in my mind that he is an angel in a furry disguise. We thank God for him and know we've been blessed, as well as others have, that Polo has come into their life.

Melanie Massey's Physical Therapy, Ouachita Parish Library, Landmark Retirement Home, Med Camps, Alphafest, Schools, and any other place we can tell people about our program.

Polo's favorite visits:

He likes them all. But, if he had to pick a favorite it would be Melanie Massey's. He loves all the attention he gets from the children (and therapist).

PAWS Therapy Teams

All of our PAWS Therapy teams consist of local volunteers and their personal pets. All animals have undergone strict personality screening, obedience training, and are certified by Therapy Dogs International or Delta Society.
